Erin has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She communicates extremely well and you can tell how much she loves her dogs. Our dog Filbert, has one of the best temperaments we’ve ever encountered with a Dachshund. He’s friendly, extremely happy and very smart. We were able to accomplish his AKC conformation championship in less than a year. As a puppy, he transitioned into our family seamlessly.

We got our handsome and sweet cream “Finn” from Erin and we are so thankful! From the first time we met Erin, her passion for and knowledge of the breed was undeniable. It was great to get to know her through the interview process and we appreciated the care she took in ensuring we were suitable “parents” and had breed experience. During the gestation period, she kept us updated with the medical progress and, as soon as the puppies were born, she started sharing photos, videos and milestone updates on a regular basis. She also welcomed us into her home for an early visit to meet the pups (once it was safe for visitors!) and took the time to help us choose our perfect new family member out of the available pups. Her in-home “nursery” was in her own room and was cozy, clean, safe and full of appropriate stimulation toys. The pups were so loved on and socialized from the start and her adult Dachshunds were also so sweet, kind and well behaved. The visit reaffirmed that we had absolutely made the right choice with Erin! After we brought Finn home a few weeks later, she generously continued to support us with “parenting” and training advice as needed and helped us reacclimate to those early puppy weeks. Finn is one of the best dogs we’ve ever had – he’s happy, healthy, sweet, loving, snuggly, spunky, playful and gorgeous! Whenever we take him places, he gets all the attention and people asking us how we found him – and we always happily recommend Sullivan’s Dream Dachshunds! Erin is the best!

Erin Sullivan is a top-notch breeder. She researches everything from genetics of her dogs to the best health care for them as well as their emotional wellbeing. Erin is a literal “hand’s on” breeder who assists in the birth of her puppies when the mom has an issue. She has pulled pups out of the birth canal when they were stuck. She bottle feeds when the pups need assistance getting nutrition. She sets her alarm for every few hours and gives the pups round the clock care and support when needed and checks them to make sure each one is safe, latching, etc. She ensures they are stimulated mentally and introduces them to various sounds, dogs and people at appropriate intervals.
If you are considering adding a long-haired dachshund to your family, this is the breeder you need. You will go home with a beautiful, well-adjusted, well-socialized puppy complete with a fabulous temperament. Erin is a phone call or a text away from supporting you when you have one of her pups.
